What we collect

  • When you use the contact form: your name, work email, company, whether you are an advertiser or a publisher, and your message. We also record the date, time and IP address of the submission, to stop spam.
  • If you accept cookies and play the video: YouTube (Google) receives technical information about your device and how you use the player.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider records IP addresses, browser type and request times to keep the site secure and running.

How we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and route it to the right person. We don't use it to send marketing emails.
  • To keep the site and our systems secure, and to meet legal obligations.

For visitors covered by the GDPR, our legal bases are: our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries, or steps you ask us to take before entering a contract (contact form); your consent (video cookies); and our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure (server logs).

Consent and how to withdraw it

You can withdraw consent at any time: change your choice with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or write to [email protected]. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect processing that happened before.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, under contracts that require them to protect it: our web hosting and email providers, andGoogle (YouTube, only if you accept cookies). We may disclose information where the law requires it, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Where it is stored

Our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. When that happens, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its authorities. We use contractual and technical safeguards to protect it.

How long we keep it

  • Contact form enquiries: up to 24 months after our last exchange. If an enquiry leads to a business relationship, our contract terms apply instead.
  • Server logs: on our host's schedule, normally no more than 90 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or withdraw consent. We respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
